This book actually didn't answer hardly any of my questions relating to the title of this book. If you are considering publishing your ebook on amazon, this is not a good how-to book.I believe if you are looking for a step by step, how-to book for newbies, you can find all that info in the support forums and in free ebooks on amazon, this book may get you started but is very incomplete.
What a great book. I have read quite a few books on self publishing and continue to do so just in case there is anything new out there.This book is written with sincerity by someone who knows his stuff. There is not a lot of fluff like there is with many other people publishing " How to publish books". The author is an ex prison inmate, now reformed. To Glenn, I say well done on your journey in your life. I know a little from your author bio on Amazon, but what I read is of someone who has had to endure some tough times. I love to read about people making a success of their lives.Thank you for sharing your book writing process so easily. He sets out the self publishing steps that have worked for him clearly. Thank you for sharing your mistakes so that we don't make them too.As you will all see from some of my other reviews, I write genuine reviews and this little gem of a book deserves all the 5 stars I have given it.Well done to you Glenn. I wish you well.
Glenn Langohr's book How to Publish Books on Amazon & Sell a Million Copies Using Kindle, Print & Audio Book was well worth reading. I purchased the ebook to read on a flight home from Minneapolis Minnesota. This book is very informative, well thought out and contained a lot of beneficial information. Full of great ideas from someone who has self-published several books. After reading this book, I have broadened my knowledge and am ready to begin a journey of my own into the complex world of new authors.
I have read dozens of books on the topic so it's getting harder and harder to find new ideas and fresh approaches. I did not learn anything new from this book, but I am rating it as if it was the first publishing book I ever read. If you know nothing about publishing on kdp, you will find it useful. However, some of the ideas do not work (or don't work anymore) as effectively as the writer suggests. Giving away free books, for example, won't get you as far as it used to. Also, not investing in effective marketing and distrusting all except one of these services would be shooting yourself in the foot.
The thing I love about this book, is the author true honesty about everything he had to say in this book. I truly felt he was doing his best to explain everything the best he can. In this book other books I have bought and finished reading the past few months, and more boasting about them selfs and how much money they make instead of getting straight to the point. The example he gives and no fluff was the best thing about this book.
When I received this book I read the title several times. I noticed the fonts, colors, and size of the letters and the image. Hmm, I liked the look of the cover. Although, the formatting was not like other covers. I continued inside the book and noticed that the chapters were not separated by its own page. Well, I thought this is different. But what really intrigued me was the information that is so informative that a 13 yr old could understand it. I am really happy and enthused to continue with my book and looking forward to publishing on Kindle. This book I would highly recommend for anyone who wants to self-publish. I've read quite a few books on self-publishing and publishing on Amazon, and I think that this is the best one so yet. If you don't find what you need on the topic in this book, you're asking for the impossible. Thank you, Mr. Langohr, keep up the good work.
As a new author, I found this book very helpful. It cuts to the facts and does not beat around the bush. The author speaks in easy to understand terms. The ideas and suggestions helped me launch my book project. I liked the fact that the book was short and to the point. I particularly found the section on reviews helpful.
