I think the concepts for the business model might be good. But this book is so poorly designed I'm having a very hard time reading it. I'm a graphic designer, and my work includes book design, and I love an interestingly designed book. But fun design should always take a back seat to readability. I'm not sure why they felt the need to make the type so small, and so low contrast, and on glossy paper. The design choices are really interfering with readers getting full value out of the book.I only remember one book that I had trouble reading - a novel that had page after page of italic text. I'm not ready for large type books, but the design of this one is ridiculous.
The "Kindle" version of this book cannot be read on Kindle device or the browser-based Kindle Cloud Reader. It can only be read on a PC using the Kindle application. I recommend purchasing a printed version instead of the Kindle version.
It looks like a middle school art class decided to design a book. Tiny font with lots of big open spaces on every page. Some pages are white, some black, some blue. You have to read the table of contents to decipher the meaning. Why not just use a header? Different fonts that seem randomly placed. 4-color graphics that don't provide any information at all, just for decoration. There was some good information in this book, but it makes you work too hard to find it. Like trying to find pearls of wisdom in a cartoon. Thanks Amazon for your generous return policy. This one's going back.
This is an amazing book. It is very well crafted. Full of well thought diagrams that helps you develop a real modern business plan from scratch, or evaluate an ongoing business.I plan to use its content in my university classes next term, because the methodology developed in the book is concise and complete for the XXI century.I will also use its methodology in business, in order to evaluate, reevaluate and develop new business propositions.I recommend this reading to everyone interested in enterprises big or small. It works for individuals, for government agencies, for non profit enterprises and for old fashioned businesses.

Another book that is an essential read for entrepreneurs and established business owners. The Business Model Canvas is a great tool to bring all of the basic elements for a business together. Good for planning and good for troubleshooting.
As a serial entrepreneur I have a coffee table book collection that rivals some book stores. This is my second copy as I always have someone over who would like to learn about the essentials of a business plan. I am by no means a teacher but paired with this book I can easily set people on the path to an excellent Business Plan. Anyone who wants an easy to follow book that defines all the business jargon into easy definitions should pick this up.
I've used the business model template from this book more times than I can count, on everything from small projects to new start-ups. I work more in the world of the former and, while that's not what this is made for, it makes a lot of sense to think of new products and services as whole new business models.A lot of people really like the garish layout of this book, with page after page of photos that aren't content, but serve as wallpaper for the written and illustrated content. This is an approach that many people greatly enjoy and has no doubt contributed to the book's success. From an information design standpoint its a travesty, making the book very difficult to read.The information herein is incredibly useful, despite the horrid design and the book's odd dimensions which serve the sole purpose of catering to the wallpaper and not the content. But if you can filter out the wallpaper you'll find a lot of very good information in here which can be creatively applied to create, streamline, or sanity-check any business model.
